Awarding

Once your event has closed and you have received bids from your suppliers, the next step is to award the event. The awarding experience in Fairmarkit is designed to be flexible and intuitive, allowing you to award to one or multiple suppliers across different line items.

The Awarding Process

The awarding process is a simple two-step workflow:

1. Review: Select the suppliers you want to award to for each line item and review your selections.

2. Finalize: Provide a reason for your selection and finalize the award.

Step 1: Selecting Suppliers for Award

From the Compare Bids tab, you can view all supplier responses side-by-side. To begin the awarding process, simply click on the cells corresponding to the line items you want to award to each supplier.

As you make your selections, the Total Awarding amount at the top of the screen will update in real-time, showing you the total value of your selections and the savings compared to the benchmark or previous pricing. Once you have made all your selections, click the Proceed to Award button.

To award all items to a single supplier, select each item individually or use the supplier award icon.

Step 2: Review and Finalize Your Award

After clicking Proceed to Award, you will be taken to the Award Event modal.

Review Your Selections

The first step in the modal is to review your selections. You will see a summary of the suppliers you have selected and the total value of the award for each.

Click Next to proceed to the final step.

Finalize the Award

In the final step, you will be asked to provide a reason for your selection. This is a required step and helps to maintain a clear audit trail for your sourcing events.

You can choose from a list of predefined reasons or select "Other" to provide a custom reason.

Once you have provided a reason, click Finalize Award to complete the process.

After the Award

Once the award is finalized, the event status will change to Completed, and you will see a confirmation message. The Compare Bids tab will be updated to show which supplier was awarded each line item, and the total savings will be displayed.

Awarding Questionnaires and Worksheets

The ability to award Questionnaires and Worksheets is currently in the works and will be available soon. This will allow you to award based on qualitative responses in addition to pricing and other quantitative data.
